Membership

The Sierra County Historical Society was formed to own and operate Geronimo Springs Museum in an effort to fulfill its mission: “The Sierra County Historical Society shall preserve and display the history and culture of the area to serve as a source of information and to educate and further community relations.”

The Historical Society is made of members who pay annual dues to the society, which helps with operating expenses of the Museum. From the membership, a Board of Directors is elected. The Board meets monthly to review Museum operations and the financial statement, and to provide guidance to the Museum Director. They serve as volunteers, and provide assistance with various Museum functions including programs, open house activities, special events and the annual dinner.

Benefits of membership in the Sierra County Historical Society include:

      • free admission to the museum
